Has anyone successfully grown a true blue rose?

As my topic states, has anyone ever grown a true blue rose? I'm mean like "Smurf blue". Not those mauve, lavender, or purple roses that people label as blue roses.

Why are some of the leaves on my miniature rose plant turning yellow? How much, or how little should they be watered? I have it growing in 6 inch planter with potting soil, but I would like to go with a larger pot one of these days.

Hello Intriguedbybonsai. I wish I had created a true blue rose. I'd be
very rich right now. But NO. No one has grown a true blue rose YET.
Many people are trying.
As far as your miniature rose is concerned, a 6 inch pot is the minimum
pot size it should be planted in. Since miniatures have shallow roots, they
should be watered regularly. Lack of water could be one reason for yellow
leaves. Does your rose need a bigger pot? Check to see if it is rootbound.
Bugs will cause yellow leaves. Check the underside of the leaves. Viruses can
cause yellowing of the leaves. They usually do not harm woody plants. Pluck off
the few leaves that are yellow. I hope this helps. Take care.

I had just repotted it in early March from the smaller pot it came in because it was doing poorly. The leaves were shriveling up, the buds were drying up. It was a Valentine's Day gift for my girlfriend, but she does not share a love for plants like I do do I took over it. Anyways... Once I had repotted it into a 6 inch, it made a full recovery, and even put out new growth. Then I noticed yellowing of the leaves near the bottom. I will try to keep it well watered, and maybe go for a larger size pot in due time.

Thanks for your feedback!
