Best fertilizer for mini roses

My mini roses are getting a lot of new foliage and looking very healthy. I was wondering what kind of fertilizer will help them produce buds? I am using the 6-18-6 spikes but am wondering if that is enough.
Coffee and water for roses

I read something about coffee grounds or adding coffee to water to help roses.Well I did a cup to a gallon and used over several days.Well I just counted 8 buds.I don't know if it helped but sure didnt hurt.

I've heard that too. I have a mini that I've had 3 months, and I need help. It's getting new growth, but the leaves at the base are falling off and the older leaves are browning near the tip. I've only managed to have one new bud since the original ones died. Finicky little things!
