Just thought I'd share a few pics of my Blue Girl Hybrid Tea roses. I bought it during the summer earlier this year and it bloomed once then stopped growing after I planted it. It just started growing again and started to bloom.

The picture of the closed bud is a different flower, but the rest are of one rose blooming. I took these photos over about 3-4 days.

Very nice picture series of a lovely, delicate looking rose.

Thanks. I just had to add a support string to the bush, thanks to the rain lol. The rose soaked up all the rain and became too heavy for the branch, otherwise remained intact.

Very pretty! I'm wanting to grow a few rose bushes are they pretty hard to take care of or not? I tried growing some years ago but the place that I lived they didn't like! It at times would get to shading and the soil really wasn't good for them!

For me, I rarely mess with them. I planted it originally outside my garden area with a bit of the dirt I filled the garden with, and the rest was the ground that was there already. Of course the ground probably isn't bad, since grass has no problem growing there too.

I have my garden setup so that I can turn on a sprinkler system from a water hose, and pointed one of the heads to water the rose bush as well. I usually put the same mixture of fertilizer as my garden, when I feed my garden. It's just easier for me than buying one specifically for it.

Right now, my roses are about 3 feet high with one branch at about 5 feet since I wanted to see what it would do lol. I will be pruning some of this back later though.

The only problem I have had, was originally after planting and it started to grow, it had very little support branches at the bottom, and could not support the upper branches. I placed a string around it to keep it from falling over. This year, it hasn't had that problem. Some of the newer branches are also a bit thicker.

I have read that this type of bush should have the branches at the bottom to help support the upper part of the bush, so I guess watch what you prune, keep it watered and fed properly. Mine is in full sun most of the day at about 80-90 degrees F right now. Usually a fairly high humidity as well... right now showing at something like 94%. Even so, the sun here will bake pretty much anything under it, so I'll see how the bush does during the summer.

I don't know how your area is, or how hard it would be for your area. For me, my garden practically takes care of itself aside from watering, which I doubt I do often enough. I basically set it and forget it.
