Help Me Please!!
Oh my. So we've been in our home three years. Year one and two the roses on the full sun side of the house did amazing. Year three, every single on of my roses have black spot, really bad. I know we've had lots of rain but there is excellent drainage here. I tried some store bought stuff and it doesn't phase it. They are looking so bad. I'm ashamed! Everything else is doing wonderfully. Should I trim them back? Should I try to treat it again?
Also make *sure* that fallen leaves are raked up and that any other plant litter is picked up from beneath the plants. The black-spot spores survive in the soil, waiting for favorable conditions, so depriving them of the opportunity to complete their cycle is also helpful (in addition to the spraying described by Marlingardener).
