Hello,
I plan on expanding my rose garden this year. I would like to have climbiing roses on a trellis or arbor. My question is if I plant these roses this year, will they actually climb to cover the trellis or will I have to wait a few years for that to happen. Also does anyone order roses from the internet or do you just go to the local nursery for them. Last time I orderd plants they were the smallest little things...........
Thanks for your time, I'm kind of new to this......

Hello, hweingarten. Climbing roses are always a great addition to any garden.
Internet plants need to be small for shipping purposes. Unless the internet is
your only source, always go to your local nursery. You can see what you are
getting, they will be much larger, and you can pick out the best of the litter.
As to your other question, yes, you will have to wait a couple of years for full
coverage. But with good care, good soil, and full sun it should happen quickly.
Take care and enjoy.
