gorgeous roses!

I don't grow roses (I find them difficult and fussy for organic gardeners not using sprays and fertilizers) but I could show you masked bandit pictures! Yours is a cute one!

Thank you for your kind comment rainbowgardener. I understand what you mean about growing garden roses. The hybridizers are trying to give us disease resistant roses and some such as Kordes in Germany have been very successful in producing extremely disease risistant cultivars. The future for roses does look much brighter for the home gardener. However, roses do require a certain amount of attention and dedication. The problem is that once bitten by the bug, it's hard to give them up. Happy gardening!

Hi-these are beautiful roses and how cute is the raider? We have possums here who occasionally dine on the rose buds. One day I brought a huge flowering Chrysanthenum and put it on my outdoor table and in the morning it was just a few stems. But hey-they are just making their way in life so I ended up giving them a regular supply of chocolate biscuits and fruit cake and they left the plants alone.

Awe! I am so glad you enjoyed your visit to my website. I add so many new plants to my garden constantly so it has been really hard trying to keep it up to date in such detail. I have a lot of updating to do still as I've added so much to my garden since the last time I've updated the site.

I am so grateful that I happen to live in an area that I am able to grow such beauties, I do often wonder though which beauties I am missing out on as well though. I absolutely love your High Sheriff - hybrid tea and For You with Love - floribunda. If you ever have any extra seeds or cuttings of them let me know! :D I'd love to have them in my garden to enjoy as well :D

Hi Crissym, and thanks for your kind comments. When we visited New Zealand, some of the gardeners mentioned what a pest the possums were. Gardening is not for the timid in any country it would seem. But, it's still fun to try to get around some of the obstacles placed before us. This past season in our garden it was "deer" who challenged us. they love roses as I'm sure you're well aware. I'm sure your garden season is in full swing right now while ours is winding down and we are preparing for winter weather - lots to do!

BewilderedGreenyO - I think I got it right this time. I'll be checking out your site from time to time looking forward to your updates.
