Is my old rose bush half dead? Did I plant the new one right

I am planting new roses in a spot, but.....I am transplanting the others, I pruned them, some are nice and lively, but some are dead sticks, are these worth transplanting?

Here is the "dead" part of one

The alive part of the same bush

Here is one that just never grew

This is the first time they have been cut back ever

They have not been very showy the three years we've been here, maybe 2-3 flowers per year, and they die back very fast when it comes to August/September but its hot then here in Wv....

Here is the new one, is it down far enough?

I am not sure what type they are, my grandmother planted them 40-50 years ago so I have no idea. Some stems are green, others are dead. I am having a problem ordering my new ones. I wanted the mirandy, it sells fast apparently, but I do not want to wait another month to get my items, nurseries take forever to ship them if not you pay 5 times the amount if you buy them locally.

Thanks :) Here are two photos I took last year of them

Not sure if that helps, I am planting 3-4 rose bushes (under the assumption that these need to be 3-4 feet apart) behind 4 Orange Glory butterfly plants

I am considering getting these

I cannot make up my mind which I want, but I hope they are not like Burgess and can actually answer my questions, I want to know which blooms the longest during the summer, smell does not matter, because I can never smell fragrances coming off of flowers lol
