poster child for what not to do when transplanting
After reading the forums on transplanting roses, I'm starting to feel ill. I just ransplanted ALL five of my remaining roses and apparently I did a chop job of it. All of the are hybid tea roses that had been planted the spring prior but they were getting crowded by other bushes so I moved them to anopen area of my court yard. The new growth/buds are wilted, hanging in shame. The more mature glossy leaves are fine. I have watered so abundantly that the may very well need row boat, but they still remain wilted. By nightfall they perk up a little. I fertilized too. Did I mention I may have packed the dirt around the roots with my foot? Can anyone give me hope........
