Cost hybrid tea rose--so far, so good

I took home this hybrid tea rose from Costco several weeks ago, it looked sad (old, dried and yellow leaves) but had good stem structure.

I placed it in the patio in full, direct sunlight--and heat. With careful waterings, it soaked up 3-digit heat greedily! I pruned back spent flower heads and kept the plant compact. It perked up almost immediately, and after 4 short weeks, it looks like a new plant. Beautiful tender new leaves, spotless, no sign of insect attack--with the exception of today's garden visitor. Have a look below:

This little green soldier and garden guardian paid its respects to my staked bougainvillea yesterday. Guess it's simply making the rounds.
