!!! they were entirely covered with blooms earlier and looked magnificent! Of course, all the blooms started to fade at the same time which to me looked a little sad. so I cut off all the "spent" blooms. That was like 3 weeks ago and I havnt noticed any blooms since then. Was that a no-no? I only cut off the bloom.....am I being impatient or did I just do something wrong. Please be nice.

Hey, I don't know any other way than to be nice!
The Good News is that there's "almost" no wrong way to prune a Knock Out rose. Cutting back to the first five leaflet stem isn't necessary.
Knock Out's are one of those roses that will keep blooming even if you don't deadhead them, but what you did was very appropriate to keep them looking nice and tidy, and encourage more blooms.
they should be powering back up very shortly for another display of blooms, so pat yourself on the back for a job well done.....
