My Eden climbers survive the Southern Ontario winter if I bank them up. How can I protect the canes from the frost so I don't have to cut them back hard in the spring? I want to keep some height from the year before. They grow up against a south facing porch. Help!!!

Hello Gertie! Welcome to the forum!!
If you look in this forum (Rose Forum) under the Articles for Winter Protection thread, I think the second one from the top of the list, you will find the information you are looking for in my third article. Give this a read, and then if you are still needing help, feel free to get back to me!
