wild rose bush eaten by rabbit

My wife and I have a wild rose bush in our yard that has not bloomed this year, it seems to have been eaten by a rabbit. Is there anything we can do
so it will grow again?

Kind of a loaded question; if it's R. multiflora, then it's a horrible invasive and I'd like to encourage the rabbit  . Please read the "What are they?" post on this rose forum for my take on wild roses; Rosa multiflora is probably the most pervasive invader in the country and we all should be ripping them out, not preserving them...Here's some reasons why I feel this way about this plant...
