Is it a Don Juan? or Isn't it?

Mystery Rose from Vendor. Label says Don Juan Climbing, but as you can tell, it does not look like don juan. Don Juan should be dark red, while this one is pink.

You're right! It's Pink!
Kevin, I did some investigating for you and found out that there is a Pink Don Juan, that is a sport of the Red Don Juan.
Pink Don Juan was bred by Brian Nelson in the United States in 1997. It is classed as a medium pink, has 35 petals on 4" semi-double flowers. The fragrance is strong and sweet, and stronger than Don Juan. It will grow to a height of 8-10 feet.
There - mystery solved - now we can sleep at night! (just joking)
I hope this makes you feel better that you didn't really get taken, but the label should have said "pink don juan" to be fair.
