Opinions on this wild rose

I have an enormous wild rose bush. We cut it back some this winter, but mostly in width, not height since we couldn't reach the top!

It blew over in a storm a few days ago and I'm trying to decide what to do.
The roots are still mostly in the ground and it doesn't look too wilty yet.

Do you think it would survive being cut back and moved to a new spot? I kind of like the idea of using the space it was in for something else.

And if I can move it, is it possible to keep these things to a manageable size if I get more diligent about pruning? The main trunk is bigger around than my arm. I won't be heartbroken if it's a lost cause. I like its fragrant little flowers, but I'm not too attached.
