This past weekend, I visted Tyler, Texas. This is in Jefferson County, and they have a 14 area acres of Roses. I must of saw over 250 different types of roses. I even saw their AARS Test beds, where they are growing new roses. The local Masters Gardner's have set up a idea garden to demostrate such techquines as water conservation to organic muching.
To put is simply, It was very nice to see. I went in the middle of summer, (June) and there was a lot blooming. It will be nice to see it during their Rose Festivel they have.
They also have great deals on roses. Local shops had 4 3 Gal. Roses for $20.00, and you can get a dozen cut roses for $1.50.
It was a nice trip.
