Gots a rose question for all of the experts........

My mother in the past had a rose bush that budded and bloomed white in color, but after a few days turned red.... I would love to know the name of that rose if anyone would be so kind

Thanks in advance :flower:

China roses tend to fade to other colors. Mutabilis and Old Blush are good examples.

Other types of roses have streaks of red that are more visible with time. Others have red in the tip of the petals or in the reverse.

Thank you for that bit of info... it gives me a starting point to look at. My loving father.... gave that particular rose away to a stranger without asking us kids if anyone would like to have it... seems that since I was the only one that took care of the roses for my mom, I should have gotten it. But then... I wish many beautiful blooms for the new owner too.
