Help with low growing rose hedges

Hello,

I want to try to create a low growing rose hedge on the border of my garden. I have a few issues regarding my garden though:

- Clay soil
- Hot and Humid Climinate (Austin, Texas)

I have several Livin' Easy, Rose Valentine, and Knock Rose varieties that do very well in the clay. I also have daylilies, flag iris, black-eyed susan, african diasies, asters, hardy hibiscus, rose of sharon all grow well in this soil. The main concern with my garden is constantly wet soil in the fall and winter and extreme heat in the summer. All my roses have actually out performed all my perennials in 100+ degree weather in their heat tolerance.

I'm looking for a low growing rose that can grow in this soil. I'm thinking of the magic roses sold by springhill they go under the name rosa randilla but no mention of the cultivar so it is hard to look up. It goes 18" tall which is perfect for me. I also like their apricot princess varieties. I'm not sure how well they will do in my soil though because I don't know much about their disease resistance.

Any ideas or help choosing? I was trying to go outside of springhill with like hierloom or sooner plant farm or local, but can't seem to find any roses I like at that size and spread.

Thanks

Thanks for the link. I have usually been ordering through Sooner Plant Farm and love them, but there rose selection is pretty limited. I thought Knockout roses grow pretty tall like at least 3 ft.

I've always been iffy on planting in the fall. Austin has been weird lately with the snow and every year it has snowed I've lost a few plants, though never a rose. I'm starting to think my roses are more hardy than my hibicus and daylilies in clay

I looked around and got a few suggestions for minis like Bee's , Tangerine Twist, Kristin, Rainbows End, Teddy Bear, Soroptimist International, Pierrine, Sweet Melody, and Sleeping Beauty.

I'm not fimilar with how tall they get though. Some people have reported the Bee's Knees grow to 3 feet which is a bit too tall I'm looking for 2 feet or less.

Obviously this is a nice photo edit here, but I'm shooting for a border hedge that can cover like so:

I actually have two of these magic roses from springhill in pots, but they have never really grown much. I'm planning on putting them in the ground this year and see how they do and go from there.
