Lilac blooms are drying out

I've planted new lilac trees. They had a few wonderful blooms when I planted them. Now the lilac trees are producing blooms, but they are not flowering. They are drying out. The lilac trees are planted in full sun.
Any advice on what is happening and how to fix it?

Hi, Do you mean the plants are drying or the blooms? Our Lilacs bloom only in spring then they too dry out, the blooms that is.

Thank you for your reply. The blooms are drying out before they are even flowering. I guess it's because the flowering season is over.

The buds are drying?

Yes, I think you are right, it is the wrong season for lilac to bloom.

It could be a rebloomer lilac but most of those should bloom before/after summer, not right in the middle of it unless this year, summer is very mild.
