Curled leaves on lilacs

Hi, I'm a newby and have a problem with two small lilac bushes. Some of the leaves are stunted and all curled up. They were here when we bought our house and I have no idea what kind they are. I can't see any bugs on them. HELP!!

Any discoloration? Purples? Blackening? Fading? Can we get images?

Thanks for your response. There seems to be a little dark color on the tips of some of the curled up leaves. Tried to take a picture, but they didn't come out very clear. The curled up leaves resemble a little ball...

Any webbing or rollig of the leaf?
