what kind of lilac can I plant? PLEASE help

ok so I live in the north and my zone is 1, I love lilacs and would love to plant them, there's at least one person I know of that has a lilac tree in her yard so I know its possible to grow them, but I have have no idea which kind I should plant. need some help here :)

I couldn't find any lilacs that would survive beyond zone 2. One site mentioned Miss Kim Korean lilac as suitable for zone 1, but all the other sites I looked at stated zone 3 for it.

Does your neighbor know what lilac he/she has? You might even try starting one using a cutting from theirs. I'm sure Google has information about how to start lilacs from cuttings. Or, perhaps someone here will be able to help you with that project. :)
