Hello I`m trying to identify this plant from it`s leaves. Could it be a Gardenia? No flowers.Terry 
I can’t help because gardenia is not a plant I’m familiar with — around here it would be a container plant that may or may not be placed outside for the summer, and I don’t have one.
But for those who may be able to ID it, give them a chance — I think some more background info might be useful — where are you located? What makes you think it might be gardenia? What kind of plant did you get this branch from? How big are those leaves (a reference scale item in the photo would have been useful).
