Wow, I don’t recognize it at all, but the blue flowers are pretty! ...and those leaves are a complete surprise!

It looks more like Larkspur (Consolida ajacis). A relative of delphinium and monkshood. Oh so pretty and now that you have it you will always have it, but in a good way. :-() Makes great cut flowers and a wonderful filler in the garden. Just don't eat any part of it 'cause it's ALL poisonous, only if you eat it not just touch it. It probably doesn't taste very good so it should be safe.
