Need help identifying this plant and how to care for it...

Hi all, I'm new here and any help would be appreciated! :)

I am trying to find out what kind of plant this is. It was purchased in the region of Ontario, Canada so it must be able to grow in our climate. It seemed to be greener and thicker stems when I first brought it home at the beginning of summer. It looks thinner and less green now. I just don't want it to die :?

I'd also like to know how to care for the plant... does it need shade or sunlight? Constant water or drier soil?

Thanks in advance! :()

It looks to me like Cylindrical Snake plant (Sansevieria cylindrica) — it’s a house plant
