Potted AVOCADO - HOLES IN LEAVES

What is eating my avocado plant and can it be prevented please?? :D

It’s likely to be the same thing that is making holes in the plant next to it. Have you checked for slugs? That would be my first guess. They could be hiding under the pot or along the pot rim.

If you are not seeing anything during the day, you might catch them if you go out at night with a flashlight or very early in the morning just as soon as there is enough light to see. If you do see them, pick them off (I carry a container of soapy water to put them in. Use wood or bamboo chopsticks if you are handy).
