Hi everybody! Wondering if anyone can identify this plant? Every year, it takes over the entire yard. I dig it out and the flower bed is fine for the year but then it comes back even more aggressive the next spring. I sure would appreciate some ideas on how to get rid of this thing.
Does it look like this is something that I need a professional to help with?
Thank you!

Ohh.. I hope not. It looks to be a pretty nasty invasive plant. Thats likely why you've had trouble eradicating it.
It has deep tubers and missed roots regrow new plants and new tubers.
The best advice I have is to just dig, till deep and rake. Over and over and do heavy covers with cardboard or black plastic until you no longer see it. Roundup will not be effective. It's gonna be a lot of work, and your local extension office (if there is such a thing there) may be able to offer you a lot of assistance with it.
Best of luck to you. Hopefully someone else will come and offer a better ID, but it looks pretty similar.
