Plants at my new house in Perth, Western Australia.

I have a house in Greenwood, Western Australia and took 60 photos of 30 plants I want to identify at my new house.

I took all these photos today on 4 March 2017 (summer here).

I have descriptions for 29 plants in post below, but a better is this Google Spreadsheet list anyone can edit:

If anyone can identify any of these plants I would be very happy!


# Description
1 Some of these thin stalks are reaching over 2m tall. Narrow leaves on stalks, but less at tips where flowers are
2 Very soft leaves. Pink, yellow and white flowers. Most under 1m, but tallest about 1.5m.
3 Short tree with purple leaves
4 Shrubby, short.
5 Small shrub - only 30cm tall.
6 Canna? Baby banana tree? These are only 20cm tall.
7 Tree has jaggered leaves and berry-like fruit. Currently about 1.5m tall, but probably still a baby.
8 Just under 2m tall, this tree has droopy leaves with jaggered edges.
9 Tree - 3m tall. Strange shaped soft leaves that are wider than they are long.
10 Tree is just over 2m tall and has a split trunk near ground
11 Shrub. Hard long narrow leaves. 50cm tall.
12 Tree. Split trunk. Soft leaves. 1.7m tall.
13 Shrub. 40cm tall.
14 Shrub. Pink and White flowers. 50cm tall.
15 Shrub. Red tube-link flowers. 1m tall.
16 Shrub. Hard purple flowers in a cylindrical cluster.
17 Ground-covery shrub with orange flowers. 10cm tall.
18 Big shrubby tree 3m tall. Actually, found a red flower - must be a bottle-brush.
19 Ground-covery shrub. 60cm tall.
20 Shrub. 80cm tall.
21 Shrub/tree - over 2m tall. Some tiny purple flowers.
22 Small plant with white flowers.
23 Firm leaves.
24 Fruit?
25 Uniquely bright green trunk.
26 Shrub. 1.5m tall.

28 Soft leaves. 1m tall.
29 Tree with long thin spirally leaves and long veins along length of leaf. Looks a bit like a eucalypt, but definitely no smell when leaf is squashed.

Thanks! Most now identified, but 3, 4, 13, 17, 19, 23, 27 & 28 to go.
