The leaves look like wild geraniums but I don't know what the roots of those look like.

Don't mow a small section and see if it ever flowers. That would narrow the possibilities.

Ok! I have so many and they are all the same size. So we shall see... maybe in a few more months. I planted my carrot seeds on Saturday so they'll be growing with this mystery plant lol.

Well, south Texas yes but the native Callirhoe involucrata is not here. At least that helps my ego ;). Thanks for letting us know.

Looks a bit like wild geranium but again, many plants have similar leaves. Let a few grow and flower then maybe it can be identified.
