indoor house plant

We have had it 4 years and it came with the house. Stands over 10 feet tall. Not sure what the proper name is.

Some variety of dracaena, dragon plant.

It kind of goes with the style and height of the room the way it is. Some day if you wanted it shorter, just chop it off at whatever height you want. At the cut spot it will branch into two branches. And you can plant the cut off top, which will easily root, so you will have a new tree.

Definitely a Dracaena. There are a number of varieties, but they all are fairly easy-going easy-care plants. Used to be one of the darlings of offices & shopping malls way back when.

What a fabulous Dracaena marginata! Taking a cut will result in at least 1 new branch on the stump, but there's no guarantees there will be 2 new branches.

It's a Dracaena, but I don't think it's Dracaena marginata. Don't see any red or white or multi-variegated edges on the foliage.

From this distance, a faint red edge probably isn't visible. Whenever Jam comes back, he/she could let us know if it is in person.

Thanks for the notes! I wasn't getting a notification of the reply. I will take a closer look and reply back.
