please help identify this plant

strange plant 01.jpg
This plant just started growing in one of my raised beds. It is about 4 1/2 ' tall now. I was hoping if I let it grow, I could indentify it, but no luck. I am in zone 5b in Penrose, CO.

rainbowgardener just IDed this plant for me. It's velvetleaf. At least I think yours is the same plant. Like she said to me, the leaves feel like velvet.

definitely velvetleaf and yes it must be popping up all over. This is at least the third recent request we have had for ID' ing velvetleaf.

Re: please help identify this plant

Thank you everyone for the replies. Now that I know what it is, I will be pulling it up and putting it in the dumpster immediately! Do not want it to seed. Nest time I see this plant I will know what it is.

I appreciate the help!

Love this forum!
