Unusual foreign plant

Hi,

We have an unusual plant growing in our garden and I would be very grateful if anyone could give me some advice on who to contact about plant identification.

We were told that it was Nicandra (Apple of Peru) but when I've looked this up the flowers and fruits are a lot different. I've attached 3 photos of the plant and was wondering if anyone has ever seen anything similar before? It has been grown in normal soil in a garden in Gloucestershire and the flowers haven't yet opened.

I would welcome any constructive advice.

I maybe hallucinating , but it looks like Datura stramonium - Thorn-apple - (Solanaceae)

Looks like a Datura to me as well, but this one might be a cultivated ornamental variety considering the burgundy stems and blue flower. I only get the common green jimsonweed with white flowers in my garden, but they can be useful as trap crop for potato beetles.

Then Datura it is hehe...
...but this type have nice a little purple flowers.
I not see that kind of before...
