Hello everyone, I recently had this little plant crop up during my gardening adventures and I was intrigued what it may be.

It's a very weedy-looking plant, and has a yellow-colored inflorescence, and the leaves and stems are rather succulent; also the proliferation of the tiny seeds (which I think are about the size of poppy seeds) after flowering is very abundant.

Any help would be appreciated, thank you in advance!

It is called purslane, portulacaria (sp?), closely related to moss roses. It is a very common weed, but one of the best edible weeds. It is good in salads, including I have a purslane potato salad recipe that I love. It has more omega-3 fatty acids and more Vitamin A than any other leafy vegetable plant, also has some Vitamin C, B vitamins, anti- oxidants. Let your purslane spread a little and then eat it!
