 Oh! Look at that! There's poison ivy next to the solar light. :x

The purple veins looked familiar to me, but then I realized it just reminded me of something else that is completely dissimilar otherwise. Sorry.

BUT, what is that other stuff near the solar light? - the stuff that's not poison ivy.

Try feeling it with your Fingertips...if you get a sting you've answered your Query....for instant relief rub the effected part with a "Dock Leaf".

"Dock Leaf" may have a different Name in the US...basically its another Weed with broad Leaves.

It looks al lot like perilla, beefsteak plant. Does it have square stems?
Perilla comes in green and purple varieties. Sometimes they cross and have features similar to the plant that you have. The underside of a cross usually is purple tinged. Green perilla will also look purplish in the sun but green when grown in more shade.

Thanks. I have both Akashiso and Aoshiso. This one isnt it.... :?

...btw I'm saving seeds from particulately dark/intensely colored strain of Akashiso. My other ones tend to fade to dark green tinged with red/violet, but these stay more purple. 8)
