Very good, Applestar!

I like to go to https://www.plants.usda.gov when I am looking for a wild plant ID.

However, it is almost essential to have some idea about what the name of the plant might be. One can then see where the plant might be found.

This site has useful pictures and generally better than what the USDA has: https://calphotos.berkeley.edu/

For garden weeds, this is a very good resource (even if it is on the other side of the continent from me: https://www.ppws.vt.edu/scott/weed_id/cropweeds.htm

If taking shots in the dark is the best I can do . . . I will go to Wikipedia  .
