Succulent?

I got this gorgeous little plant as a gift today, but alas no tags whatsoever to tell me what it is. Please help me identify it, so I can learn how to properly take care of it. I think it might be some sort of succulent, as the leaves are very waxy looking and feeling. Thank you for any help.

It looks like a Kalanchoe to me, which is a type of succulent. It would prefer bright light so if you have a South facing window that would be ideal. Water sparingly in the Winter, letting it dry out between waterings.

I believe you are right, I just came across kalanchoe in my research and am pretty sure that is what it is. I do have one south facing window, but the cat and dogs seem to take that over, I may put it in a hanger in front of that window to keep it up from them.

Thanks for the help
