Can you identify this fall-flowering perennial?

One of my perennial beds contains the fall-flowering specimen shown below. As you can see, the flowers were very minimal. Can you identify it? I am wondering if the lack of flowering is due to excessive shade or the type of soil (this garden has a lot of clay and excessive tree cover).
Thanks! :D

Some kind of daisy, maybe shasta or oxeye daisy. It would be fine with the clay soil, but hates shade. It's a full sun plant.

The leaves are wrong for Shasta. Pretty sure it is a Ox-Eyed daisy.

The young leaves along with the petals are edible and tasty too. Pluck and add to a green salad.

It looks like chrysanthemum.

I agree that the leaves look more like those of a chrysanthemum... maybe a wild chrysanthemum?
