The pic is small and won't enlarge for me ... not an unusual problem for me with imageshack. Nonetheless, it looks somewhat like a brown marmorated stinkbug. Definitely a bad guy, of that's what it is. It's been spreading across the U.S. for the past decade or so. There is rather extensive info and pics at the link below.

I am not necessarily recommending any of the controls the site might suggest, just the info about the pest.

Yup, picture did enlarge for me, and that is exactly what I was thinking, before I read your response, Kisal.

Not a good guy and insecticides even if you were willing to use them, aren't very effective on them.

Here's the article that picture was from

Control methods include vacuuming them up, sweeping them into a container of soapy water.

Here's an article about control/ prevention techniques

They don't like aromatics (as noted in the article about companion plants that help repel stink bugs) so a spray of lavender oil in water helps keep them away (besides making your plant smell wonderful! :) ). Or try a garlic pepper spray (use Search the Forum feature to find recipes for this)

It doesn't help for right now, but for a longer term solution, encourage birds in your garden, with bird feeders, bird baths, etc. A number of different birds, including titmice will eat the stinkbugs as do some spiders and praying mantis.

If you squash one of those, you will be sorry. There's a reason they are called stinkbugs....
