Vine/flower identification

I received a cutting of this about 15 years ago from my mother. Every couple of years, I cut it back fairly extreme and remove the 'old wood'. The flower spikes generally appear about 2-3 times per year and last about a week. Anyone have any ideas?

I think that's a Hoya.

It might be the one called Hindu Rope, but I'm not positive. Do the flowers look like they're made of wax? Another common name for the hoya is Wax Flower.

Thank you Kisal. You are correct, it is part of the Hoya family. From what I gather, there are hundreds of different varieties, but this one is very similar to the Hindu Rope (at least according to what I have now seen online).
