Thistle like flower

Hi there

Thanks for everyone's help identifying the hibiscus I saw on holiday. Now I need help with something that's growing in my garden.

My partner was the gardener so after he passed away last March I have no idea what's in the garden! I'm assuming this isn't a weed but would like to know what it's called.

Cheers

Allan

Those are Centaurea cyanea, more commonly called Batchelor's Buttons or Cornflowers. Whether they're a weed is down to whether you like 'em or not.

Thank you. I do like them a lot, so they'll be staying :o)
