please help me identify this plant

Good evening,

My uncle has a plant growing under his bird table which has got us all wondering what it is. I am a very novice gardener but I will do my best to describe it:

Green shrub type low to the ground, very thick 'branches', white flowers which turn into a spikey green 'fruit' (which is yet to mature) they look very similar to young conker shells, there many leaves which are crinkled around the edge.

I do have a photo but not sure if I am able to upload it to this forum?

Thank you in advance for any help!! :D

yes, you can post photos here, but you can't upload them directly from your computer, they have to be hosted on-line first. Detailed instructions are in the New To Helpful Gardener section under Helpful Tips and Suggestions for New Members.

If it has large trumpet shaped flowers, it sounds like a Datura stramonium.

That was my guess too.... Datura a.k.a. jimsonweed -- toxic (if you have kids or pets you need to be careful about)

Yeah I wouldn't get the word out either, the bells can be made into tea or eaten to induce extremely chaotic hallucinations. Just saying, you might have kids sneaking onto your property and stealing the beautiful flowers.
