Rescued plant from work. Need ID and care instructions pleas

This plant (and a much larger one just like it) have been at work for many years. This guy looks to me like he needs a bit of trimming and maybe a bigger pot. It looks to me like the type of plant I can cut off a piece, stick it in dirt, and it will grow. BUT...I really don't know anything about it and don't want to kill it. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

It's a Schefflera that's been sadly light-starved. I'd repot into one size bigger with soil that has reasonably fast drainage (regular potting + 25% bark chips is a nice blend for Scheffies) and get it into a much brighter area!

In terms of floopiness, you can stake it and tie it up.
