Ivy Plant Leaves are Browning

need help. can anyone tell me what the of ivy this is.

it was becoming all gangly so I transplanted it about two months ago.
some of its leaves are turning brown at tips and to other parts of leaves.

it was sitting on ledge in my kitchen with lots of light but maybe too cold.
so I have moved it to another location not so close to window.

what am I doing wrong? I live in southern bc canada

Cold could be the problem. Also Scott's products are often too much of a good thing with small particle size (for a woody plant) and added water retaining 'stuff".

As far north as you are, as much sun as possible.

Poke a finger (or a chop-stick) into soil. Wet is too much.

Your ivy appears to be an english ivy. Too much water will cause it to drop leaves. They can withstand some cold, but I don't know how far North you are, so don't know how cold it is.
