Another questionable plant

Not sure if this is weed. Spikey leaves plant is about 2-3 ft and possible blooms forming on top.

I think you have common groundsel, Senecio vulgaris:

it's a weed, but I think a kind of pretty one. If I am right, those buds will open up into bright yellow flowers:

but watch out, because the flowers then turn in to dandelion like fluff and spread themselves all over the county. Also the plant is poisonous to cattle and horses that eat it and toxic to humans (IF they eat it).

So what is a weed is always open to definition, but I think most people would say yes, this one is a weed.

I have left this one alone to bloom. It is about 4 ft tall now and I can see the blooms beginning to open. It's is growing between my sunflowers which are now between 5 and 7 ft - it's about to catch up with them-lol. Thanks so much for the info. This forum is great!
