Someone might recognize it right away, but I don't.
Please supply us with some more clues --
-- is this growing in your garden?
-- where are you located?
-- is it a bush or a tree?
-- is this how it looks right now?

Looks like St. John's Wort to me.

Sorry for the lack of information. I live InSouth Yorkshire, and this is how the plant looks now. It's more like a small shrub than bush.
