It's everywhere ... under my trees, in the grass, in the garden. It's hardy as hell and if you step on a sprout barefoot, it hurts. I literally tripped over one. The root system is crazy thick and looks like an octopus with 29 billionty arms. I have looked everywhere and asked everyone I know and no one knows.

It may be some kind of ladyslipper orchid.
