I'm going to just bounce this to remind people of your request.
I know I have seen your plant. I think it is not an uncommon house plant and you might want to look around nurseries that sell house plants or tropicals. I can't quite come up with it. Probably one of those rainforest denizens, maybe even something I saw in Costa Rica.
