What plant is this?

I need to know what this plant is called. I've had it for twenty years and after twenty years a random orange ball blossomed?!?

Namia,

You can't post pictures from your C drive. You must first upload them to a site like Photobucket.com. https://photobucket.com/

I'm going to just bounce this to remind people of your request.

I know I have seen your plant. I think it is not an uncommon house plant and you might want to look around nurseries that sell house plants or tropicals. I can't quite come up with it. Probably one of those rainforest denizens, maybe even something I saw in Costa Rica.

That looks like Acuba, scientific name Aucuba (japonica).

Acuba Japonica - Gold Dust plant. Great landscaping plant in south Louisiana.
Partial shade in my region.
