help with lovely shrub

we have moved into new house and the garden has this lovely old shrub which is really beautiful, we live in new zealand but I don't think it is a nz native can you help thanks kiwi [/img]

It is a calico bush or mountain laurel...Kalmia Latifolia Minuet ..native to Nth America and cuba...so glad I have identified it as it is stunning and there are numerous other varieties and colors .. so I will surely get some more of these in my garden ...very happy kiwi :-))

I have a dwarf variety of those. It's actually native to my area. :D
