Getting a new Greenhouse... what do you think?

I currently have this Greenhouse: https://www.biglots.com/p/village-green- ... greenhouse

I got it on clearance for $50.00 and though it is getting the job done, it isn't holding up very well. All of the bars just sorta snapped into place and it is very flimsy. The shelves are attached to the sides, so big storms have knocked pots off shelves, and the plastic cover is already ripped in about 7 spots. The only opening it had was the door, so large gusts of wind would go inside but not be able to escape. It has been an interesting nightmare.

I am in no way rich, but I need to find a replacement before the other one falls apart and all my veggie plants are destroyed.

I found one on Home Depot's website that I have been considering and am wondering what your advice is?

I am not capable of building one from scratch, as it is putting the one I am looking at is going to be difficult. I was thrown off a horse a few years back, broke a disc in my back, and had to have back surgery. Ever since then I have had to take it easy.

This is the one I am thinking about: https://www.homedepot.com/p/ShelterLogic ... Xmv4rWsiSo

It is larger than the one I have now and looks like it will be more sturdy. Thoughts?

thoughts?

yes. regrets any of the floppy sided stuff is not going to have a long life.
the materials are cheap, likely not too UV resistance, get brittle, cracks/yellows/fails.
or the mechanical construction is so cheap it just rips apart if anyone sneezes inside.

glass glazing lasts forever, or until you break it - whichever comes first.
UV resistant rigid plastic have a solid 10 yr lifespan; poly-carbonate better than most - perhaps 15 yrs

but all those options are more expensive that the transparent tent designs.

Just a short YouTube video showing the problems with my current Greenhouse and some information about the new Greenhouse I ordered last night.

That's the one hubby just bought me for Mum's Day, I am hoping to get some reviews back from members regarding it if they have one. It cost a lot less than the one you just bought but has a galvanized steel frame. My old one that bit the dust was the same style as your old one but had less width. It did not last long either (though we had a tree fall on it, it was already losing it's strength anyway.) and mine had a green UV cover. I hope your new one works out better for you!

The end of the video shows the new Greenhouse all set up with plants in it. I think it is working out pretty well so far.

I hope yours works out well for you too, WinglessAngel! I'm really against that other company now. That original greenhouse only lasted a month!

I plan on getting this one as soon as I can get the dirtwork done and get a few other projects sorted out. I plan on pouring a new concrete base for it as well.

I saw something similar to it as well on Sam's Club's website as well but for the price I figure it'll be worth a shot @ $400 for an aluminum frame greenhouse at least for what I want it for.
