Nontoxic plastic sheeting alternatives?

I am desparately trying to find non toxic plastic sheeting for a hoop house I have built. The standard recommendation to cover it with plastic sheeting usually involves polyethylene plastic, which has chemicals that can leach out into the soil. Does anyone have a healthier alternative? Or an alternative to plastic in general?

Not an alternative, but if you opt for the more expensive UV stabilized greenhouse film, the sheeting will last for years without breaking down.
