what bulb temperature?

hello,
I'm trying to start some seeds indoors, since the weather isn't ideal yet outside.
can anyone advise which bulb temperature I should use?

this bulb will be the seeds' only source of light until they are big enough to plant outside.

I currently have a 3000k bulb, and a 4200k bulb. will either of these work or should I get a different one?

thanks for any help!

Both bulbs will work, but you will get get better results from Daylight (5000 K) bulbs. I replaced some Cool White Sylvania bulbs with GE Daylight and tripled my light intensity, plus they have a lot more bluish light. That's the spectrum best for seedlings.

okay so it sounds like the higher the K the better.
thanks!
