Hello
I am attempting to tackle a huge mas of Ivy that is swamping our garden...We did not plant this beast, and it has been growing wildly for approx 25years...
Up to now we have had to take down a nine foot high wall to remove part of the heart of this horrid plant, which in itself was so huge it filled a wheel barrow! Now I am tackling the rest of the garden...But....
Is there any solutions or potions etc that will kill off Ivy without killing off anything else? As this beast of a plant is clutching onto trees, fence, garage, everything....
I do not want to kill the whole garden off, I just want rid of this dark green horrid mass....
Any ideas???
All help is welcome, thankyou
Alison

Although the word "ivy" isn't in the title of the following thread, that is what the OP was asking about:

There are lots of other threads here at THG w/regard to removal of ivy as well.
Good luck; I know what you're up against.
